Mindfulness meditation adjusted to westerners from Anapanasati and Vipassana
We learn to come down in our bodies again. One can not meditate without total awareness of the physical. Breath is life and if we are not in contact with our body, we are not aware of our vital breathing and tensions in the body.
We learn to be in the present, not letting the past weigh heavily on us, or dream about the future. We learn to find happiness here and now.
We learn a technique in which we can overcome the constant stream of thoughts and observe them, both the flow and it´s content. Through the total presence, we see how our thoughts affect our feelings and how they govern our behavior. A huge personality development in all levels is made possible.
We learn Metta, to cultivate universal love. Through Metta we reach forgiveness, both to ourselves and others. We balance through Metta “the positive indifference "which is achieved through practice. And we learn to see how true Jesus words in the Bible are "forgive them for they know not what they do".
