The retreat
The retreat began in 2005.
Retreat means to withdraw and we need that sometimes in life.
Maybe just a moment's break from beach life, a lovely morning practice of meditation and / or yoga, or taking a break from life at home, come here and engage in internal work for a couple of weeks.
Ko Lanta has a wonderful high energy level. Working with deep relaxation in the body through various tools, the main thread of breath; tools that allow thoughts to be silenced and that we experience deep relaxation in body, mind and senses. This, we offer you at the retreat.

The retreat is a place where it is calm.
It´s a gathering place for skilled people with the right objectives for their work. That is, people with a true intension to help others, through the tools they use, to be happier and more harmonious in order to cope with their increasingly demanding lives and to find a deeper meaning in life.
Join our yoga and meditation classes. Enjoy an "after practice boost", two drinks and nuts and seeds that give your body what it needs after the yoga class, shower and finish the morning with a wonderful medical Thai massage.
The retreat is very easily accessible in the middle of Klong Dao Beach, just behind the resort Chaba. We work closely and the retreats students have special price at ChaBa.
A small road runs alongside the sala. It is quiet and beautiful early morning, but it is clear that there is some traffic later in the day. We use the sounds in our practice to increase the level of concentration. When you start to learn meditation you will experience that the singing birds early morning sounds very high, but very quickly this is changed and you don´t hear it anymore.
In real life there are always sound and therefore it is an important part in training to see how effective meditation tools actually are. It is crucial to have this knowledge and confidence in your practice when you get back home. Sounds and other distracting stimuli is more or less constant present in daily life. It is no surprise that Zen Buddhists often practice on very sound-filled places. Many are deeply impressed by the Buddhist monks who can sit at the bus station with very high noise level and meditate - we can also learn to manage this.
We use sounds and other things that disrupt the practice to increase our level of concentration. Meditation is a lot about concentration.
We have a very beautiful garden where you can enjoy peace and tranquility within our large bamboo doors. We have Buddhist books you can read in the sala and soft drinks in the refridgerator.
